Texels Bier is the beer brand of the Texelse Bierbrouwerij. The brewery crafts speciality beers on Texel and is located in the former dairy factory of Oudeschild, where cheese was once made and beer is now brewed. The brand revolves around beer with a clear Texel heritage: idiosyncratic, accessible, and connected to the island.

Texels in De Zwaan

The history of Texels Bier began in the 1990s. Texel local Harry Bonne took the first steps in 1994 for what would later become the Texelse Bierbrouwerij. Driven by his love for speciality beer, he started a brewery in the old dairy factory, which has since grown into a well-known brand throughout the Netherlands.

What Texels Bier does is translate the island feeling into various types of speciality beer. The brewery uses natural raw materials and gives each beer its own character and story. The most famous beer is Texels Skuumkoppe, an award-winning beer that originated on the island and is now well-known far beyond Texel.
