In the heart of De Koog, you'll find Brasserie Quinty’s – a place where you can just walk in for a casual evening full of flavour. Whether you're visiting as a couple for drinks or looking for a full dinner with friends or family, Quinty’s is always a great choice.
What we love so much about the menu is the freedom of choice. Want to simply choose starters, mains, and desserts? You certainly can. And they don't disappoint. The slow-cooked Texel lamb shoulder with honey and thyme is a winner in our book, as is the salmon fillet teriyaki or the Texel beef steak with café de Paris cream sauce. Prefer vegetarian? The vegetable lasagne with pesto and mozzarella or the vegan flammkuchen fungi are surprisingly flavourful.
But truth be told: we usually go for the bites. Small dishes to share (or just keep for yourself) that allow you to fill a table with treats in no time. Think crispy gyoza, crunchy prawns with chilli mayo, steak tartare with grated salted egg yolk, wafer-thinly sliced and searingly fresh scallops… And of course, a few oysters – just because you can.
And then there’s the drinks list. It is generously stocked with no fewer than 49 cocktails, gin and tonics, and mocktails – including a few excellent ones made with TX Gin. Cocktails and gin and tonics are available for €10, mocktails for €8. Visiting with a group? Then the one-litre TX Pitcher is a fantastic choice.
The wine list is also well worth a look. It’s extensive, featuring a beautiful selection of wines from countries including France, Spain, and Italy. Whether you love a crisp white or a robust red – there’s always something that hits the spot.
Finally: the back terrace. A little hidden away, but that’s exactly what makes it such a lovely spot. In the summer – when the weather is fine – it opens up, allowing you to sit snugly and sheltered in a quiet courtyard garden. No hustle and bustle, just pure relaxation with a table full of bites, a cocktail, or a good glass of wine.
Brasserie Quinty’s is a regular haunt for us in De Koog. The atmosphere, the menu, and that wonderful terrace make it a place we take others to time and time again – and they always leave just as enthusiastic as we are.
